Detalhes documentados e fontes
Capture the Flag is officially listed as a classic Hypershot mode. The stable objective is to take the opposing flag and convert the run while protecting your own side. Community documentation describes two teams, home flags, carriers, and captures, but exact scoring, return, pickup, carrier, timer, and map rules must be read from the current match.
Assign four flexible roles
The attacker opens the route or takes the flag. The escort clears the next section and watches the carrier’s weak side. The home defender stops direct runs without chasing too far. The recovery player turns toward an enemy carrier and helps return or secure the home objective.
Roles change during the match. A defender who sees teammates regain control can escort the counter-run. An attacker whose route collapses can delay enemies rather than dying on the flag. Use the objective indicator to choose the next job instead of repeating the last one.
Plan approach and exit separately
Before taking the flag, identify a main approach, alternate return, and cover point where teammates can join. Do not spend every movement ability reaching the pickup. The exposed carrier route often needs speed, protection, or an emergency escape more.
If the live rules require your own flag at home to score, a carrier may need to hide or support recovery rather than stand on the capture point. Confirm that rule in the current HUD; do not assume it from another game or an old wiki entry.
Monte a CTF loadout
An attacker benefits from controllable close-to-mid pressure, movement, protection, and one recovery or area tool. An escort can use a flexible primary and control ability to clear routes. A defender needs range coverage, close insurance, and an ability that survives or denies a push.
Do not optimize only for kills. A movement tool that crosses the final lane or a shield that protects the carrier can create the winning point without leading the scoreboard. Use Movement Abilities and Loadouts to build for the route.
Escort correctly
Move ahead or to the side of the carrier instead of directly behind. Clear the next corner, watch likely return routes, and avoid blocking the carrier’s camera. If enemies focus the carrier, trade quickly rather than beginning a separate distant duel.
Call whether the path is clear, blocked, or changing. Save at least one ability between the group so every tool is not active at once. After a failed run, regroup and vary the approach; repeating the same lane teaches defenders exactly where to wait.
Defend without becoming trapped
Watch the approaches that actually reach the flag and keep an escape to the home objective. Chasing an attacker across the map can leave the next runner uncontested. When the flag leaves, decide who pursues and who protects the likely return.
If the carrier is faster, cut the route rather than following the same line. Use information, movement, or a crossfire to meet them ahead. Confirm any pickup, drop, return, and timeout behavior from the current match.
Review a CTF loss
Classify the failure as approach, pickup, escort, recovery, home defense, or conversion. High eliminations with no captures usually indicate that fights happened away from the objective. A carrier dying after a long run indicates saved abilities or escort position may be the issue.
Change one route or role assignment, not the whole team plan. Keep the same loadout long enough to see whether the adjustment works.
CTF FAQ
How do you win CTF?
Complete the live capture objective before the opponent. Use the current HUD for score and return conditions.
What is the best ability for a flag carrier?
Movement, protection, and recovery are useful jobs. The exact best choice depends on route, current effects, and whether carrying changes activation.
Should everyone attack?
No. Leave enough home defense and assign recovery when the enemy takes your flag. Roles can rotate after control changes.
Where are the map routes?
No named map list is published until a reliable current pool can be verified. Trace the actual match’s spawn exits, flags, cover, and alternate lane.
