Hypershot Gun Game Guide

Advance through Hypershot Gun Game by identifying each weapon's range, changing routes after eliminations and protecting difficult progression steps.

Hypershot officially lists Gun Game (Arsenal) as a classic mode. Community documentation describes a solo progression where eliminations change the held weapon. The exact order, score target, reset behavior, melee stages, map pool, and ability rules can change and must be read from the current match.

Evidence: Gun Game existence and Arsenal name are Official. Weapon sequence and historical victory thresholds are Community reported and Need in-game testing.

Identify the current weapon before moving

After each progression, take a moment behind cover to identify whether the new weapon is automatic, precision, shotgun-style, heavy, projectile, or melee. Check the crosshair, ammo, and handling rather than guessing from the model. Choose the next route for that weapon’s likely range.

Running forward with the previous weapon’s plan is the most common progression mistake. A close-range step needs cover and a short approach. A sniper step needs an angle and backup plan. A slow projectile needs prediction and enough space to recover.

Play for clean transitions

Finish a target, move away from the fight location, and learn the new weapon before another player arrives. Do not reload the old weapon after the elimination if the mode has already advanced it. Keep camera control through the transition.

If the live mode changes weapon on every elimination, the first second after a kill is a vulnerable information window. Use ordinary cover or a ready movement ability. Avoid spending every ability to secure one easy stage when a difficult weapon may follow.

Handle automatic and precision stages

With an automatic weapon, choose a lane where tracking can continue without exposing the player to several opponents. Control the burst and leave enough magazine for a third party. Do not chase through an open area solely because the target is damaged.

With a precision weapon, stop taking automatic-style center fights. Use an angle, land the important shot, and relocate. If the weapon behaves differently from a named primary you own, trust the current mode rather than the Shop guide.

Handle close, projectile, and melee stages

For a shotgun-style or melee step, approach through cover and let another fight shorten the distance when safe. Do not cross a full sightline holding a short-range option. Preserve movement for the final approach or escape.

For unusual projectiles, test speed and arc with one deliberate shot. Aim where the opponent is moving, not where they stood. Use area pressure near likely paths only when the live weapon actually supports it; do not infer splash from its name.

Build abilities for changing weapons

Choose general movement, protection, sustain, or information rather than a combo that only supports one owned primary. A reload effect can help automatic stages but may do little for another weapon. A route tool remains useful across the sequence if the player can aim after moving.

Confirm whether the current Gun Game permits the full normal ability kit. If the mode modifies or disables slots, follow the live rule. Passives may also behave differently, especially effects triggered by eliminations, ammo, or weapon type.

Recover from a stuck stage

Stop repeating the same range. Identify why the current weapon fails: no safe angle, poor tracking, missed prediction, or target stolen before the final hit. Choose a route that favors the weapon and look for an already distracted opponent without entering between several players.

Do not tilt into increasingly risky pushes. One controlled elimination is enough to leave the difficult stage. Use the experience to identify a gap for later practice in the Weapons index.

Gun Game FAQ

How does Gun Game work?

Community documentation describes weapon progression after eliminations. The current HUD and loadout display decide the exact order and victory condition.

Do purchased weapons matter?

The mode supplies or changes weapons according to its current rules, so comfort across categories matters more than one favorite owned primary.

What abilities are best?

General movement, survival, and recovery can support changing ranges. Confirm what the current queue permits.

Is Gun Game good practice?

Yes. It exposes weak weapon categories and teaches the player to change routes instead of forcing one playstyle.
