Hypershot Rarities

Understand Hypershot Mythic, Secret, OG, Unobtainable, Permanent and Available For Now labels without confusing rarity with demand or official price.

Hypershot community value sites organize cosmetics with labels such as Mythic, Secret, OG, and Unobtainable. TradingKeep also uses availability buckets including Permanent and Available For Now. These labels help classify supply, but they do not establish an official price or guarantee demand.

Checked 2026-08-07: all definitions below describe current community usage. Confirm the exact live item label, source, and obtainability in Hypershot. Frosted Studio has not endorsed this guide's market categories.

Mythic and Secret

HS Values exposes Mythic and Secret catalog groups as high-interest rarity categories. A label can describe the item’s community or in-game rarity, but the exact meaning, odds, and current source need the live item detail.

The official API title currently promotes a NEW MYTHIC. It does not identify the item or prove that every community Mythic entry is related. Do not infer a Case, bundle, trade premium, or end date from the title alone.

Secret can signal an ultra-rare or hidden group in community catalogs. Confirm whether the current client uses the same label and whether the item remains obtainable. A Secret with low demand may trade differently from a more recognizable Mythic.

OG and Unobtainable

OG commonly signals an original or legacy group in HS Values. It can support age or identity, but age alone does not prove scarcity or demand. Verify the exact variant; a later reissue or look-alike can change the comparison.

TradingKeep describes Unobtainable as retired or limited supply that can no longer be earned. Treat that as a current community classification and check the live source. An item can return, be reclassified, or remain account-locked. Do not promise permanent unobtainability.

Permanent and Available For Now

Permanent suggests a source expected to remain, while Available For Now indicates current circulation in TradingKeep’s system. Neither label tells the full value. A permanent item can have strong demand; a temporary item can remain easy to obtain while its source is open.

Record the source date because availability can change with an update. If a title, event, or Shop rotation changes, verify the item before updating the category.

Keep a dated screenshot of the live source when availability drives a large trade. That record makes it possible to distinguish a real later rotation from a mislabeled listing or an old community cache.

Rarity versus market behavior

Rarity classifies. Obtainability describes new supply. Demand describes interest. Liquidity describes how easily an item trades. Community value tries to summarize those fields. Never use one rarity word as the whole trade decision.

A high-rarity item with few buyers can be difficult to exchange. A lower category with broad demand may move faster. Serial, variant, appearance, and source can also affect negotiation, but no premium should be invented without current evidence.

Verify an item classification

Open the live inventory detail and record full name, skin or item type, rarity if shown, source, current availability, tradeability, and variant. Compare the exact entry on HS Values or TradingKeep with its update time. Reject mismatched thumbnails or shortened names.

In the final trade window, confirm the same exact item. A community category cannot override what the game shows. Use Trading Safety whenever an offer changes.

Rarity FAQ

Is Mythic the highest rarity?

Community sites treat Mythic as a top category, but Secret, OG, variant, and obtainability can create different market groups. Confirm the live system.

Does Unobtainable mean the value always rises?

No. Restricted supply can support scarcity, but demand and liquidity can fall. The item can also be reissued or reclassified.

What does OG mean?

Community value sites use it for original or legacy items. Verify the exact variant and source rather than relying on the label alone.

Is the NEW MYTHIC title proof of a new trade item?

No. The title confirms only a promotion. Item type, name, obtainability, and trade status need official or in-game evidence.
